Simulation of quantum computation

We develop a simulator for gate-model quantum computers utilizing the capabilities of Fugaku to achieve the world’s largest-scale quantum computation simulation. Specifically, we develop a quantum computation simulator, employing both the numerical exact treatment of quantum computations involving arbitrary gate operations (referred to as the state vector method) and the matrix product state (MPS) method.
Additionally, we establish a foundation for quantum algorithm development aimed at quantum-classical hybrid computation, which is a realistic application in the near future for quantum computers integrated with classical computers.
